One of my favorite things to do when I'm searching for inspiration is to scroll through instagram. It used to be home magazines, which I still buy and look forward to reading, but instagram offers daily doses of design love 24/7. Currently, I love Café Design Blog by, Eva Contreras. Eva highlights everything that I look for in good design. Honestly, we have so many similarities that if she lived close, I think we'd be best pals.Eva and I share a similar passion of searching for beauty in hopes that our readers will be as inspired as we are. I love this! "Eva is a design enthusiast and has a passion for all things beautiful; art, fashion, stylish homes and wonderful gardens." In her blog, Eva writes about, "design finds (old and new,) the good life, the beautiful life and whatever is inspiring her in the moment."
This is the sweetest shed I have ever seen. Built by architect, Catherine Sloan. I love the boxwoods, brick step, the dutch door and oh, how I love an American flag.
A classic charmer...White house with black shutters (a winning combination—always,) a picket fence, boxwood hedge and of course a flag in the yard!
I remember seeing this photo of Libby Cameron's beach house in House Beautiful magazine and drooling over ever little detail and I love that Eva loved it as much as I did! The slip covered sofa and clipper ship art are dreamy! I bought a similar oil at an estate sail for $60! Seriously, so much to admire in this photo!
Another House Beautiful image that stopped my heart! Maybe it was all the greens and blues or the dueling functionality of the space—all I know is, I love it! Designed by the amazing, Miles Redd who was inspired by "his love for the New York public library and the way the tables are illuminated under pairs of lights." I love that this table can function as a library table with those amazing blue and white lamps and books and upon books and then in an instant be turned into a beautiful dining room setting with a glimmering fire at its side. STUNNING!
Eva has so much to offer on her instagram @cafedesignblog and her blog, Café Design Blog. Follow each and I assure you, like me, everyday you'll find inspiration in interiors, gardens and architecture. I love that Eva and I share the same sentiment—"a layered and personal" home are the greatest attributes in good design.
I'll leave you with this stunning New England image of Marina Rust Conner's home photographed for Vogue Living. Your welcome :)
